Listen, just because it used to be a popular forum narrative to dump on the G26 a couple of years ago doesn't mean you have to pander to the crowd here just to fit in. Man up. |

The masses have spoken, they voted with their wallets, and the G26 is the best-selling 4-door sedan/coupe BMW offers. You and your soccer mom wagon can't win this argument, a 3 Series Sedan owner can't win this argument, an M3 owner can't win this argument. No one can. It's over. The G26 took the body blows and came out the champion. It's quite a success story. BMW took major chances and it worked. Splendidly. |

toddwalton - sorry, but ugly beaver teeth owner has no say in any kind of styling discussion. STFU and keep being delusional about G26's front end. Suck it up - it's ugly but a great car otherwise

The Gran Coupe with M Sport package looks super aggressive. The grille looks bad only if you focus on it. If you let it merge with the rest of the front end, it actually looks pretty nice. Here's a comparison of a 4 Coupe with a chrome grille to an AC Schnitzer tuned Gran Coupe with a blacked out grille and an EU plate:
A night and day difference. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, though, I guess. I, personally, adore the look of the front end on the second pic. However, I agree that Todd is wrong. He lives in his US bubble and is skewing statistics to his own benefit. The overwhelming 4 series sales is purely a US stat and it's a combination of two reasons - no 3 series EV and no 3 series touring. It has literally nothing to do with the looks of the vehicle. Everywhere else in the world, the 3 series sales dwarf the 4 series's, especially if you remove the i4 EV out of the equation. They're even cancelling the model which speaks for itself. I just hope the Neue Klasse platform gets a liftback style some day, as I really like the form factor. Last edited by blue_seather; 04-29-2024 at 03:59 AM.. |

No one buying a car at this level of price/luxury is going to deliberately choose one that he thinks has a hideous front end. That is a laughable position to take, that enthusiasts and regular drivers alike consumed with brands and public perception here in the social media era would turn a blind eye to the very face of the vehicle itself for what, a lift back? A battery pack? When they already own an SUV or could easily afford an electric as a second or third car? What idiot would do that? LOL, nice try. The 'bubble' are people in denial how they were incredibly wrong about the 4 Series. Instead of getting defensive, they should apologize. All G26 owners are owed an apology based on how we have been treated the last 3+ years. |

You don't have to be like the few remaining rats following the Pied Piper. I'm positive that next week when you're driving around in yours you will just love the front end. And you'll love all the compliments you get from complete strangers each week. I had another one just this morning. |

"followed by Germany". I'm pretty sure that if you count Europe as one single market, the US is smaller than that. Also, look at the global 3 vs 4 series sales. I've posted it somewhere before, and it's not even close for the 4 series. I'll repeat myself once again - I adore the 4 series and hate to see it being sold less than the 3 series but facts are facts, that's it. Also, as I already mentioned - they are pulling the stops on the 4 series. Those LCIs are the last we're going to see from it. If it was so hot, they'd never do this.

Oh, I’m sorry. I posted a message about not getting ventilated seats for the car I just ordered because they were only available in two colors. Then you quoted my message and said, “which leather options those were?” So I responded with the two leather options that offered ventilated seats. Perhaps I misunderstood your reaponse to my message. I referred to the North American pricing guide because I bought a US-spec car (in Germany). I am a US citizen and will be returning to the US later this year. I hope that clears everything up. My apologies if there was a misunderstanding.
