Tracking car with OTS tune?

What are your experiences with running a OTS tune (like MHD Stage 2) on a track day?

Are they fine and reliable under those conditions? I would have thought so, but I have heard rumors its better to run a stock tune on the track unless you have a custom tune that is designed for track use.

MHD does have some extra cooling parameters but not sure it would make much difference.

I've done 15 track days with bm3 stage2 ots, no issues so far.

Not speaking from experience as my car is still on the stock tune but it looks like you can use MHD in "map 0" and apply the flash setting to use the cooling modes.

I plan to do this for future track days to remove the speed limiter.

Cooling seems to be the issue for those running an OTS map. I can imagine it also depends on how fast you are, ambient temp, and the track. Personally, I remain at stock tune and have focused solely on suspension modifications. Our cars have plenty of power to begin with.

This is exactly what I did on my 2020. Zero engine cooling issues that I'm aware of. Oil temps fine too. 85 F ambient. No ZTK package. It was fine last year too in similar conditions without Stage 0, but I was significantly slower too.

Brake cooling is a different story. My pretty blue calipers are now green after this weekend, and I'm mentally preparing for the dust boots to be completely shot and needing replacement. I'm not sure if there's any solid brake cooling options out there, but what we have OEM is not enough at all. I didn't measure caliper temps, but I wish I would have.
