In Germany it is Auto only. But given the state of the market? I would like to estimate globally also.

These are M Performance models. So they must be in respect of the M3. So they must be honest. M3 will have an increase to its performance. Without giving too much away. Expect a balance between M550i and M5 allowing enough breathing space for both.

Buyers of luxury cars pre-E65 globally were not interested in "The Ultimate Driving Machine"

it did not reflect the changing customer demographic for this car which is why Sheer Driving Pleasure spearheaded E65 to reflect its modernism and technology which was a complete success.
Especially cracking the Asian markets which was back then a big deal.

"The Ultimate Driving Machine" is now only used by marketing by
English language distributors such as the USA, UK, Australia etc.
But the global BMW marketing term is "Sheer Driving Pleasure" or "Freud Am Fahren"
Thanks for the detailed reply. Approximately 2-3 years I'll be shopping yet again and quite possibly refrain from purchasing the "Ultimate Sofa" Consumers that actually like to "Drive" are getting the shaft. ðŸ‘

The halo lights are there but under the guise of "squircles"
The technical term used to describe the more modern shape.
This time around 3er and 4er are far more distinctive.
Look to the 8er for the direction and the CSL Hommage for the new facia. The design for the 4er is beyond radical, and a lot here will hate the direction. That is very much a given from your reactions to the X7,VFL etc.
One question Is there going to be a 4 GC for the next gen? When will it hit the market? Thanks

Many said that about the X3. But many are happy with the new X3 even more so they sold it out for six months.
When everything begins to appear over the next twelve months we will see a large influx of customers either staying on, returning or indeed introduce them to the brand.
The new upcoming models from the X7 down to the new 1er are serious upgrades over the existing models, and that even includes quality.

There will be a Gran Coupe but will be something entirely different from before.

That's refreshing to hear. It sounds like I'll be back in the BMW family sooner than later. BMW pulled a 2000 era Mercedes with the F gen cars.

So many questions. Where to begin? I have answers and you may not entirely like what you hear?

Shall we begin?
We shall

-Will we see a RWD B58 car? Or AWD only M340i xDrive?
-Will we see the 6MT paired with the B48 in the 330i?
-Will we see a 48V system and mild hybrid enter the G20 lineup?
-Will 4 cylinder cars get the classic twin exhaust tips? (have not seen in spy photos yet)
-Will the 3D tail lamps in the spy photos be the standard units, or an optional upgrade? (Like the X3)
-Will the new car be lighter than the outgoing F30?

When you say look to the CSL hommage are you talking 3er or 4er? The headlights don’t appear that slim on the disguised car in these pics!
I do love the look of the Hommage

Can you confirm or deny the notch on the bottom edge of the headlamp units!?

I would assume he is referring to the new 4 series, seeing that he commented on the large grills and people not liking it. I have a feeling BMW will start to implement these large grills for the sporty models, i.e. even number cars.

Yep 4 Series with the 3.0 CSL Hommage front grille 🐰 And probably also, connected to the grille, drooping to the side headlights, which I don't mind as that echoes the old BMW sharknose.

I can cover some things here that Scott may not have been allowed to talk about yet:

RWD/AWD in North America, AWD only elsewhere.

No.
Quote:

All future models will have 48V. The new X3/X4 are the last 12V BMWs.
Quote:

Twin exhaust will switch to one pipe each side. All twin exhaust cars in spy photos that have round tips are 4cyl. Obviously, lower output 4cyl cars will only have a single pipe.

Why would NA be the only market getting RWD?? I’d expect that here in the uk too!!

If not it’ll be a RWD 330 for me... far more important that the extra 2 cylinders...

BTW I love the headlight design suggested (confirmed!?) by Scott above...

Any chance Europe is going to get a RWD M340i? I will not be happy if it is xdrive only.

Extremely unlikely. Only if BMW at some point sees the absence of it as a mistake and decides to reintroduce it.
