If you follow the above commentary you are looking at the stock 330 msport obviously with all the performance options. Not sure if it is xdrive or not, but that won't matter on the g20, xdrive and rwd will share the same suspensions.

So excited for the initial reviews.

Like all first drives, they will be vague fluff pieces but it's better than nothing.

BMW seriously needs to up their exterior styling and rim game, the competition is creeping in. Even lesser brands are coming up with interesting exterior designs.

Positives: Slimmer rearview mirrors, large navigation display screen, and the number 3 on the stick shift. Unfortunately that's it.

Negatives: Bland exterior design! The 3 Series needs to be way more aggressive looking! The i8 Design Team needs to be included in design briefings and process.

You have options through out the BMW product line, if you don't like the camo G20 and prefer the i8- then purchase a i8, nothing is holding you back. Personally, I have no issue with BMW's design and prefer it over the other auto brands. Just add some mods to the exterior and order a individual color- problem solved of the 'bland exterior', or just wait for the G80. BMW is constantly performing customer preference market research as the bread and butter 3 series is the entry level vehicle and needs to appeal to a wide customer audience. Centers have input into pre-production to make sure the target audience is catered to. Good job BMW design!

The mandatory wheel gap production photo for Bimmerposters to complain "'it's a 4X4 or is it on shipping blocks " is still pending .. wait for it..

Can't wait for the release. Looks promising. Hopefully the suspension is stiffer than the old 335 with adaptive M suspension

I hope they offer a factory mesh style wheel. The 5 spokes are definitely nice but kinda over played the last 5 years.

I think it will look handsome. Even in camo it looks really nice.

The interior of the F30 was a weak point. I suspect the G20, much like the new X5, will finally have a modern interior.

Because petrol (gas) is so cheap there! If it was that cheap here there's no way I'd have a diesel, even though I do over 25k pa!

Very low demand, as each engine/transmission under goes rigorous US testing that costs a significant amount of money. Not worth the ROI for BMW AG/NA to bring to the US market. Especially after the VW emissions scandal, diesel is tainted in the US.

New character line above the door handles appears intended to pull this generation ascetically closer to CUV line. Ditto massive grill.

I guess is the largest markets are China and the US, you go for badges and size over detail and refinement.
