M-Performance alcantara shift knob
China special alcantara wrap

Easiest “mod” yet. Just make sure you disconnect your battery, otherwise you’ll get a transmission error saying the P button doesn’t work.

It took longer to open up the trunk and disconnect the battery than it did to pry off the front of the knob, unclip the ribbon and take out a screw.

A great question…. I’ll have to check.

Edit: the wheel performs exactly the same as before. Heat works fine and the yellow flashing nanny is satisfied with a tap or jiggle of the wheel.

Pulled the trigger on the M Performance carbon fiber interior trim kit. Got a great price from Schmiedmann and they should land at the end of the week (which means I’ll have some alcantara knee pads for sale since I already retrofitted leather knee pads).

Getting tint done today… Llumar air 80 on the front windshield for UV protection and heat reduction and 15% nano carbon ceramic tint for all the other windows

Is it just ID8 that has the optional color ambient light in the NFC/charging area? I have wireless charging on my '21, and it's just white no matter what I set the interior color.
