1st with nothing showing
2nd with electric (13 pin) down position
3rd tow bar on, no electrics, key in
4th how it all looks ready for towing

This is really useful info, thanks for taking the time to post. I've been considering fitting a tow bar to enable me to transport e-bikes (as these are over the weight limit for the roof bar holders ones).

Have to say, I'm so concerned about messing with any car electrics (in general) I'm not sure I'll ever take the plunge.

From the pics, is it correct that you install both the 13 pin and the tow bar when you're wanting to tow but then remove both when not towing?

You only remove the tow bar when not towing, the 13 pin plug is designed to swivel up under the rear valance when not towing.

I was wary of messing with and cutting into the loom, however, the instructions and kit is specifically designed for the G20/21 from a very reputable company and Westfalia (owned by Witter now), I believe is the go to manufacturer for BMW

Hi, I'm planning to have a tow bar installed on mine, both Witter and Halfords say that there is no need to remove the bumper. Was this the case with yours?
