This x100. A good set of tires will take you much further than any trick AWD system. And ground clearance for winter driving is a meme. Sure a Subaru will get you going quicker, but throttle moderation does wonders for us RWD folk.

Oh please. You sound like Don Cherry. If Norrland and the proper Arctic Circle area of Sweden isn't harsh enough, you may as well go to Russia. Which is in fact colder than Canada.
