I had a 335 x-drive with a 6MT and did a couple of high rpm launches at the drag strip. Could not imagine doing that too often.

A clutch and differentials that can hold up to 450-500 hp with AWD and row-your-own are not the things that make those cars $200k.
Another poster said it, but Chevy/Ford both have manual gearboxes that would laugh at the max output of this S58 motor. We all know the price is going to climb - there will be a higher % of these cresting 6 figures as specced than any prior iteration - there's no reason it can't be done.
Especially considering BMW is now trying to give us all 31 flavors we never wanted at the same time, I wouldn't care about a 7-10% premium upcharge to add the MXdrive to a 6MT car. There's a market for it, no matter if it gets built or not.
