Just do your own thing and don't worry about anyone else. Sounds like you have a good friend. To me that is the secret. I always picked people bigger/stronger than me to work out with as I knew I would be pushed.
My current training partner does all of this competitively......and I owe pretty much all my progress to him. Man we've had some brutal workouts!

I agree with you, without my gym rat best friend I wouldn't know the first thing I should do lol. Probably wouldn't have pushed myself as hard either. I did pretty much every workout he asked me to until I physically couldn't anymore
I got to the point once again where I became light headed and my vision couldn't focus again. Forgetting to breathe and oh you know, having a horrible habit of not drinking enough water..
