For me there is no comparison between a car that exists and one that doesn't. Sure you can get a second hand with 7 year old tech but not something I would compromise with for a daily driver.

My E90 M3 ZCP is too much fun. I can wait 18 months easy. 18 months is not enough for me to trade for G80 and potentially lose money as well. I passed on the F80 version. The G20 M340 is comparable/better in speed/performance and not as raw on the street. Raw in terms that in my E90 I need to be high in revs to get the same result as G20. Hope that makes sense. I am the original owner and special ordered it. I fall in love everytime I crank it or @8350. My fault is I purchase certain cars to keep.
