This is why I said the words
stock exhaust. No doubt that with a proper exhaust and CSL intake it is glorious.
Stock for stock exhaust note, I'll take S55 all day every day which I drive daily and I like it with the flaps open. But the more you modify the S55, the worse it sounds, especially with aftermarket downpipes and burble tune.
Best-sounding turbo BMWs are the 335is and 1er M, imho.
