To me i3 is better than iX (within its use case), as it is truly lightweight and does not pretend to have a CF cell. It's the real deal, without the cost cutting on iX.

Having a fully carbon frame is really epensive, so not sure you can consider that "cost-cutting", more like "making it sustainable"
