Agreed 100% to the first & partially agree with the 2nd. You would still have caught flack for ruining an iconic car. However since the 2000GT is so far removed from most people's minds I think you could get away with it more successfully than the Supra name plate |
Personally I don't even feel the Supra name is iconic and worthy of some sort of protection! I think it's because I'm old enough to remember cars with a Supra name weren't anything special for most of the namesake's existence. It's probably just the younger guys that grew up idolizing F&F and seeing the nameplate associated with great performance.
