Ask the music companies how that worked out for them? Not worth it for for them to go after tuners and endure the bad press, they can just figure out how it's done and block it on the next iteration. Eventually the security will be at the chip level (don't ask me how I know) and then all tuners are screwed. |
The current Tricore Bosch MEVD and MG1 ECUs are locked in the bootloader of the ECU and is implemented on processor level.
Wonder if TSMC makes the chips for Bosch? Back door through Taiwan?
