I installed the update this morning. No noticeable changes to the UI over a short drive so I'd say it's mostly updates to existing id7 features as the description spells out in the images. I'd recommend upgrading if you can. I agree, I don't anticipate much changing with the id7 interface other than minor improvements here and there, with the new OSs, OS 8 etc out on newer vehicles.
A note: in my case, after upgrading I noticed, the "sporadic change of date and time" issue described in the uploaded image occured - which then erroneously flagged (on my instrument console, and MyBMW app) that future vehicle checks (Feb 2024 vehicle and brake fluid checks) are now overdue
, so I might have to follow the instructions in that section to reset the time & clear the messages. Otherwise all good.
