Hey so update on this:
I already went through ISTA beforehand and got to the same point where I needed to diagnose by swapping the FLM. Hadn't had the chance to do that since was a bit busy and wasn't a priority. I did the same steps again more recently but still the same just couldn't be bothered. There was also no service function for relearning under Body, Lightning for the G20.
So I pretty much gave up.
But a few weeks later today I noticed there was no error any more and my adaptive seemed to work.
All I remember was
- I had made sure it was VO coded as above steps
- It was heavily raining and I drove fast so maybe something 'woke' up the levelling sensor or moisture sensor??
- The most likely that fixed it, I think was that I held the volume/play/pause button down for 30 seconds twice in a row because my Bluetooth stopped connecting to my phone, this is actually common and fixes the BT problem, but I've never turned off the dash twice in a row. I did this while driving and then next time I started the car...no errors any more.
- Last possibility is that its been quite a long time (around 6 months) so it just fixed itself somehow...
I then went to Bimmerlink and was finally able to clear the errors, they don't come up instantly anymore so fingers crossed it stays that way. And my aftermarket RGB DRLs still work.
