Lol it absolutely does not feel that way. I’ve driven the M340i, 340i and 330i extensively and while the M340i is a real fast car, the 330i does not feel like the M340i in Eco pro mode. Unless the 330i was in comfort mode, in which case it might have felt that way The 330i is horrible in eco pro (kinda like driving a Toyota Corolla). The M340i isn’t as bad but again, I would never drive any BMW in eco pro because of how dull the car feels.
I recently drove an IS350 F sport and the 330i is MUCH better.

Comparing the F30 340i to the G20 330i, there isn’t as much of an obvious difference (vis-a-vis the M340i vs 330i). The 340i is only slightly faster than the 330i. All of this is my butt dyno speaking and are my thoughts. Others might feel differently and that’s understood. On a drag strip, the 340i and M340i will leave the 330i eating their dust. But on the road, it doesn’t feel as bad. The new European 2.0T 4 bangers are actually pretty decent (330i, A4, C300, Giulia) and much improved compared to their older counterparts.

Edit - Just noticed Rsnic said he drove the 330i in sport and compared that to the M340i in eco pro. I’m guessing the loaner car had some issues?
