I have .45 in mine, and it does not have the Car Care app.
In fact, it is back with the dealer again because:
Email keeps losing configuration
Auto seat heating has a mind of its own, works one day, not the next
Last week, navigation had me in the middle of a lake
Radio volume randomly changes for no reason
Whole thing is becoming a joke, and neither the dealers nor BMW know how to fix it.
BTW, does anyone know if you should see the name (or even the phone number) of the person sending you a text message in iDrive?

Unfortunately name of person sending you a txt doesn't show - it's a known bug.
Good luck with sorting out these issues with BMW. I'm also very disappointed with all the software issues given where this car sits on the market. I have had both cheaper and more expensive cars previously and experienced much less problems.
At least, mechanically the car drives fantastic.
