Just thought I'll share my experience recently... the remote features from the app doesn't work for me when my car has been parked for a period of time (eg overnight). The command kept returning "failed".
And then without the vehicle key on me, I pressed the boot/trunk release button and of course it did not open but the electronics in the car seemed to wake as I'm hearing some whirring noises and the hazard light button inside lit up. After that, I can unlock/lock the car with the app.
It seems that when the car goes into a "deep sleep" mode, it stops receiving commands from the server. I'm sure this is not normal operation.
