just to revive my original post, I just picked up my 2020 m340i from the dealer today 9/8/20: they replaced the passenger side mirror assembly plus the glass, just like they had to do on the driver's side in my original post
BMW 51169854798 (the motor assembly) list price is around $900
BMW 51169492762 (the heated mirror) FCP euro had it for $160.
So it is what I thought, over $2000 in parts just for the two mirrors they replaced
Plus the passenger side laser headlight had to be replaced, that is $3000 just for the part.
Come on BMW, that is at least $6000 in repairs in the first year of ownership. I love the car but I should have leased.
