2021 brought the haptic interface to most Audi vehicles that has been widely disliked by the press and customers. As BMW's chief competitor this has to have helped BMWs cause.
I bought my first BMW this year largely because they have a better interior, better interface, and a better horsepower to $ ratio. An questionable grill design isn't going to factor into a buying decision nearly as much as the interior and engine does.
