Debadging is considered "major tuning"???  I debadged my 430's xDrive and 430i badge and I'm leasing it... The plan is just to put them back on before returning the lease.

It's not your car to deface. If you want to rip the badges off, buy the car. You might do a fine job of placing them back on before turning the car in, but bmw probably doesn't take it for granted you'll do it right, or without risking expensive cosmetic damage to the car.
