I prefer the user experience of the Spotify app. It feels much more instant/responsive and integrated with the car, navigation/display is better, and I can jump there quickly with a button shortcut. I'd rather keep CarPlay focused on Waze and separate from music.
When I first got my car, I was able to assign CarPlay to shortcut button #1 and easily toggle between Spotify and CarPlay. At some point the CarPlay shortcut stopped working. Anyone know if there's a fix for that?
