Has anyone found a resolution to this issue with the iPhone overheating? I have an iPhone Xs and find the wireless charging pad nearly useless with it. On longer drives it overheats and then CarPlay drops. If I want to use Waze, I need to keep the phone plugged in. Even on shorter drives the charging connection is not steady. I might find some rubberized spacers to place either side of the tray to keep the phone centered, as the charging connection drops it the phone slides around at all.
In my previous G30 540i the phone would occasionally overheat on long drives in areas with poor cellular service. With the G20 it is a constant annoyance.
