Disagree. Why would you want more black surfaces after going out of your way to select a non-black interior? The top of the dash needs to be a dark color to eliminate reflection off the windshield, but the lower dash, center console lid, and front seat backs should definitely not be black. |
My thinking is the rest of the console is black, so let's keep the lid black so it visually disappears. I see no need or desire to highlight the center console with a lid covering in a contrasting color. Besides- A black kid hides wear and soiling better, and would lower the overall cost if BMW only has to make black lids.
I feel so strongly that a black lid looks better I'd buy a black lid and swap out the color keyed lid.
