Saw where Southern Cal has named a true freshman their starting QB. First frosh to start as signal caller since Matt Barkley in 2009, and only the third to ever start a game for the Trojans. |
It can work and there have been some very successful true freshmen QBs, but tough for most freshman to learn and be able to execute on a big playbook while adapting to the accelerated pace of play. Everyone wants to play right away. Some will make it big, some will transfer and many will flop.
