Bizarrely, after the weeks of trying, the security code has suddenly appeared on my car and the App seems to be working. Doesn't actually do that much though, although bring able to pre-ventilate the car in the warm weather is nice.
Still haven't figured out why the lights on my doors don't flash when they're open any more.
