BMW has updated the Connected app 3 times in the last month which is promising. When the app stops working, I have generally been successful by executing the following steps:
  1. Reboot iDrive by holding the volume button for 20 seconds.
  2. Updating "Apps and Services" from the Apps menu and tapping the "Options" button on the center console.
  3. Deleting and re-creating the vehicle in the BMW Connected app on the iPhone.
