One other issue I'm having is the sunroof is bunching up and catching on the track. It will have to go in for that eventually it appears.

Yeah, I'm still having the issue with the Connected Drive app not updating status. Sigh...
As for CarPlay, I also had that issue but think I fixed it. Try deleting your iPhone from the devices list in your car, then when you re-pair make sure to select the car from the Bluetooth menu on your iPhone. In other words, don't select the iPhone from the iDrive screen. I did that and haven't had a single issue since *fingers crossed*
