They’re just sharing parts across models. Usually that’s lame but in this case it’s to our advantage (unless you like 4 bangers in a Porsche).

"still sinking R&D into ICE, and it's not just Porsche", other manufactures are still making improvements on ICE, just look at the HP outputs that come out every model year. I'm just musing BTW, if the EV was taking the world by storm then you'd think that EV's would be filling the floor in every showroom and you'd be hard pressed to find an ICE on the lot.
