I enjoy that my car says M340i on the back and every M3, M4 owner that I know, give props seeing it. The reality is that the letter "M" is no longer a singular proof of an end all be all in performance, speed, and handling per BMW's new car performance modeling structure. Think of it this way, now you have:

- Traffic commuter and efficient but sporty looking (G20 330 M-Sport),
- Everyday spirited driver with the need for performance (G20 M340i/xDrive)
- Enthusiast, spirited driver with + skills in handling who also participates in car meets once in a while (G80 M3 Pure, Base RWD AWD)
- Professional driver who frequently goes to the track and truly utilizes the cars performance and handling and frequents car meets as a weekly/bi-weekly routin (G80 M3 Competition AWD)
