You might end up disappointing by the ventilated seats. Not only are they rather dull in their power, but they're incredibly uncomfortable as they are the same seats from the X3 which have been panned for being hard as a rock and having no adjustable bolsters.

This. BMW is stingy with their ventilated seats. They blow, but don't necessarily cool. When you first get into the car on a hot day, it helps, but only so much.

isn't that the difference between a truly "cooling seat" and a seat that just blows air to circulate it around your back? i recall reading on here a few years back that BMW just used ventilation (the latter) to try to move air around you so you don't get stuck to the seat. other brands use actual cooled air blasting out of the seat. i could be waaaaayyy off here, so happy to be corrected

No, you're right, to be fair. I pointed it out because a lot of folks find out after they option them, and SAs aren't always clear on it either.
