Wax is stupidly cheap per application if you know what you're doing. A 200mL jar is $100 at full retail and you could easily get 40-50 full coatings out of that, so that's less than $2/application, call it $4 if you go nuts.

Most sealants and coatings are under $100 for a generous application and many can cover a normal sized car twice. So call it $50-$60 per application.

Now add in all supporting cast of polishers, pads, towels, lights and a steamer and then you're starting to flesh out the expensive part.
