Yeah, I thought so too but apparently this is what they do if you do it via a dealer or BMW Body Shop.
I wonder if they order the part paid for by the customer's insurance and only use the new part if they break the old one and just pocket the new one (if I'm being cynical). |
I just had a windshield replaced at my local dealer and they replaced the sensor, 10 bump stops, top cover and the sound insulation. They also charged me for adhesive, shop fees and $300 in labor. The total price was almost $2200.
I submitted the invoice to my insurance company. Hopefully they will cover everything.
