It depends on what you’re goal is. If you go to the drag strip for fun then yea, it does matter. If you go to the track, then 0-60 doesn’t matter as much as how well the vehicle carries moment through the corners and handles. If you just cruise around or do red light sprints then it doesn’t matter really, as long as the car has the driving experience you enjoy, that would/should be the most important.

People look at 0-60 and think it means better power to weight and overall acceleration, but they don’t account for grip which has many factors involved. And most of the time people aren’t using their 0-60 capability, more so their 10-60 capability because of passing on the road. Beyond that, all of the numbers are strictly bragging rights.
