A few weeks after having winter tires installed I started hearing very noticeable tire noise, especially at highway speeds. God forbid I take an exit ramp at "enthusiast" speeds because it gets even louder. It's similar to the sound of a pickup truck or Jeep with those big oversized off-road tires riding next to you on the highway. I just assumed that my new winter tires were garbage (Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 Run Flat Run Flat XL). Now you've got me wondering if it's really the tires. I guess I will find out in 2 months when I put my summer wheels & tires back on.
