MPE definitely improves sound over stock in every drive mode. It's most prominent in sport individual and sport + where the pops and burbles really come to life. But regardless of the pops, just accelerating in general sounds deeper/louder and I love hearing the mean bark upon shifting on acceleration from a stop in S+. You will hear a notable difference both in the cabin and outside with MPE in S+ and Sport Individual. Cold starts are also super loud.
Also one thing no one appears to have mentioned yet but could just be me is that I felt a slight increase in sensitivity/throttle response at very low rpm range. Not sure if there's any data to support this but just throwing that out there in case others have noticed this as well/
