Interesting you mention that the G20 330i gets the new steering rack because I don't think its all that bad. Obviously, it's not E46/E90 perfection but it has vastly improved from the F30's Buick setup. The weighting in sport mode is about 75% E90. Believe it or not but i even get a subtle amount of road feel in sport mode. It seems like BMW is at least heading back in the right direction.
The steering is definitely improved from rhe F30, but its still too numb for my tastes. The 330i is better, but still not the best.

Problem is driving the M340i minutes after the Giulia and C43, the steering is more noticeable in its lack of feel since the other two are better when it comes to feedback coming through the wheel, rather than driving only the M340i and not testing the other two.
