I agree. 2020 has the original M340I sound. I fell in love with the sound at all the driving events and Its one of the main reasons I ended up getting the car. I get tons of compliments on how the car sounds all the time.
I test drove and 2021 and it left me feeling like it was missing one of the biggest components of the car for me personally. I dont believe the change to be due to regulations, so that only leaves it to complaints or the fact when they realized the G80/G82 wasn't going to sound that aggressive.
With that said, I have nothing against the 2021 I just with they had an option for people to turn the exhaust more aggressive for those who might be into that  |
