I do not know what the reason is, why it won’t work but if someone can offer an explanation, that would be great.

This is not accurate, as it turns out. The 10.25” MGU display will function with a NBTevo 6 head unit. BimmerTech has to do a fair bit of coding to make it work, but it will work.
