I'm going to start this one since it's been a problem for me but so far no one else has run into this problem.
My situation is that the parking brake engages (via pulling lever up), but does not disengage (push lever down).

You have to press the brake and hold the brake pedal pressed then hit the button in order to release, if you don't press the brakes it won't release |
I know, it used to work, suddenly one day it doesn't.
My car has 60,000 miles on it, sometime around 40,000 miles, it suddenly stopped working.
