I live in northern Indiana and drive my f80 year round and it does fine in the snow with snow tires. I mean AWD would be nice but the notion it's required in harsh climates is ridiculous. The ground clearance is the limiting factor and always will be.
That said the hybrid awd from a performance standpoint is enticing. I'll probably keep my f80 long term as my 6mt rwd m car and consider the awd auto next gen comp pack when it comes and keep both.
