Those grilles, while huge, served a real purpose. When Tesla first released the Model S, there were a lot of complaints about the fact that it had a dummy grille. It served no purpose for airflow, but it definitely helped it maintain the look of a normal non-EV car. They have since eliminated it on the Model S and the Model 3 never had it, and both of those cars look odd.

The grille on the i4 is the complete opposite! Not only is it just not subtle, it's an extremely prominent feature. I don't like it, but I also never had any intention of buying an i4. The only other BMWs that I would consider buying right now besides another E90 are the F20 and F22. Now get off my lawn!
