The latest map update appears to be Australia 2019-2.
We're almost in August 2020, and there have been significant changes to major thoroughfairs in multiple Australian cities. It esentially forces me to use Google Maps rather than the built-in mapping solution.
12 months between map updates seems like a long time, especially given the fee that BMW charge for access to their updates.

It might different in your region but in the UK I've had 3 map updates since Nov 2019.
Are you looking at the USB map update section of connected drive portal? There's a BMW map update tool which you download to a PC and then install to the car via USB. That's 'free' for 3 years.
I admit the OTA updates I've had with BMW over a number of years I can count on one hand though.
