The 14mm is like a specialty lens, just like the tilt lens, for example.. I mean.. the only thing that I can think of that requires a 14mm (which if you put on a tripod, you can ALMOST see your own trip leg out front, thats how WIDe it is)... I dont know.. on the 14mm, I took a quick 2 min tryout at B&H, its wide and sharp, but the edges are quite distorted, just like it is on the 10-22mm.
Besides, if you really want to take serious architecture or architecture-related scenes, you need a tilt lens.
Anyway, thank god I know for sure I WILL NOT need that lens...
how much is that? like $1800?
17-40L is very sharp and good enough in most of the situations, aeven though it is only a f4.
