Heya
To code using a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can use a USB C to Enet adapter (
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07VP...b_b_asin_title) and an enet cable (
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ME...b_b_asin_title).
You also need to buy the Bimmercode app from Google Play.
You connect the enet cable to the car via it's OBD port (pic in the link
https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=120). And then connect the enet cable to your phone via the USB C adapter.
Once connected, enable “Static IP“ in the Android Ethernet settings(“Connections“ > “More connection settings“ > “Ethernet“ > “Configure Ethernet device“ > “Static IP“) and make the following entries:
IP Address: 169.254.250.250
Netmask: 255.255.0.0
Default gateway: 0.0.0.0
DNS address: 0.0.0.0
Disconnect the cable and connect it again to make the changes take effect.
Open the settings in the BimmerCode app and make sure the correct adapter type is selected ("3 dots on the top right of the app" > "Settings" > "Adapter" > " ENET cable")
Tap “Connect” on the start screen in the BimmerCode app.
Upon first use a dialog is displayed and you have to allow BimmerCode access to the UBS device. Please confirm with “OK“ and then tap “Connect” again.
You then have to choose your car from the list and it'll access all the modules in your car.
You do not use a laptop for coding. Only your phone or tablet.
Also, make sure your phone is in airplane mode before you code. If someone calls you while you're coding your car, it can mess things up. So make sure it's in airplane mode and has enough charge.
