To me the the rear side glass looks messy as it extends into the roofline, like the faux window on the side rear of the Cadillac CT-5. I assume it is about rear cabin space but it looks too long.
We will all see soon, but I think the rear door upper architecture gives away that this is a common body with the hatchback new 4 GC. As to the surrounding area at the backlight, take a look at the same area on my current 3 GT hatchback (disregarding the deployable wing). The meeting of backlight to rear quarter is similar.
