It seems BMW is at least smart enough to recognize the basis of success behind the F87 and do not appear to be fucking it up with the G87 . . . they still have time.

The great thing about the M2 though is that is seems to be purchased overwhelmingly by enthusiasts. The M3/4 has ventured far off into badge whore territory, but the M2 with its small size, spartan interior, raw driving feel, and lack of streed cred due to the number "2" has kept it away from the types of BMW owners we all hate.
I hope BMW recognizes this and keeps this next generation driver-focused like the current model, because frankly it's the only vehicle remaining in their entire portfolio that maintains the philosophy of the E-chassis models.
