You can always feel the RWD bias in XDrive, but in my experience it is mostly predictable and quite fun

Is it superior to Quattro? Not as a general rule but highly dependent on the situation. It certainly can be more fun though.

But I'd say it is only fare to compare S5 to LCI, which is improved in many ways (e.g. suspension).
