There is a priority, but it doesnt push your car weeks into faster production. It means when it is your turn, your car goes first and will be less likely to be stuck in a holding spot than unclaimed cars destined for a dealers lot.
There are several spots where cars wait, for instance when changing transportation modes (factory to train, train to boat, boat to truck, etc). Higher priority cars move through these points faster on average.
Again, if your dealers allocation is 8 weeks out and someone (you) buys the car, it generally wont change to next week, it will however move through the process potentially faster once the production week arrives.
